Del Plomo Hot Springs are some rustic natural deep pools which come from San Jose Volcano, they are located in the middle of Los Andes mountain range, 68 km from San Jose de Maipo.
To reach this wonderful natural spot, you first have to be in San Jose de Maipo (see how to arrive to Cajón del Maipo) and then follow the G-25 route until you are in San Gabriel, which is the last locality where the road is paved (Police Squad).

Once you are in San Gabriel, proceed until you cross El Yeso bridge and up to Romeral. You have to turn left to take the G-455 route, towards El Yeso Reservoir. You have to pass the reservoir and you will see a junction, where you have to take go to the road on the right towards Del Plomo Hot Springs. (If you go to the road on the left you will arrive to the mine). Then go down to Yeguas Muertas Swamp, cross it and take the way indicated by stones who ends at Del Plomo Hot Springs.

From Romeral, the way is slow due to the road conditions, but if you go by car the trip can last two and half hours approximately. If you go by bicycle the trip can last seven hours.

The place is marvelous. You can enjoy the clear green water of the El Yeso river.
When you are there, at the Hot Springs, you can do serveral activities like long walks, trekking, or just take pictures of this beautiful place.

If you go in Spring, you can go for a swim to the hot springs.
