

La Obra
Once we begin the trip on G-25 road, the first place we will know is La Obra. This place was founded in 1802 because of the works made during the San Carlos canal building which its water intake begins in the Maipo river.
Place of stonecutters experts, which give life to the stones with an unique artistic touch. We also will find one of the vineyar of the area.
Las Vertientes

El Canelo
Our next stop is El Canelo, which has its name because of the of chilean indeans, Mapuches,sacred tree. We can find it on the streams near to this area. From here you can access to Purgatario Hill, which has 2.466 metres high. Also you can enjoy the wines and licors from the region.
El Manzano
El Manzano is the fourth place we will know on the Cajon del Maipú inland. It offers to the visitants beautifull places to know between boldos, quillayes,etc; and practice climbing on Las Torrecillas hill.
Guayacán
We continue on the G-25 road, we find Guayacán, which owes its name because of a tree that we can find in the area and has a high quality wood.
El Cajón del Colorado
Leading away form G-25 road to the left from our trip, a few metres from the El colorado bridge, we can access to Cajón El Colorado.Inlanding in G-345 road. This place owes its name from the brown colour of the river. This area invites you to enter into the mountain range, to see th Tupungato Hill and Tupungatito volcano. Also you can find in this road Los Maitenes and El Alfalfal, and more interior places such as Montaña Rio Olivares Park.
San José de Maipo
San José de Maipo is the capital of the district, where take place the most important comercial activities of the area. Its singular architecture rescues Chile’s clasical style. You can go through the square and enjoy a rest, with almost a half of trip already made.On weekends and hollydays you can find handicrafts from de area.
Lagunillas
Continue our trip on G-25 road and turning to the left a kilometre from San José de Maipo, the G-355 road begins, it is a road that lead us to Lagunillas, a skii center, which is 17 kilometres away from San José de Maipo, 2.200 metres high.
El Toyo
This is small and tipical town where you can enjoy of the nature, practicing a lot of outdoor sport, such as trekking and fishing. In this area a side of the road you can will find a wooden suspension bridge, and big footprint on a rock named by the people as “La Pata del Diablo” (The Evil Foot), which owe its name to area mitology.
El Melocotón
Small town that appeared because of the need to have natural grass to feed the animals when they come down from the mountain range. Here you can enjoy a unique view, and invites you to know more of the area. Also you can do kayak and raffting.
San Alfonso
This place invites to enjoy and know more of its natural attraction. You can also delight with the tasty wines and liquors. A beautiful place to know is “Tinoco Tunnel”, Historic Monument.
El Ingenio
This place was born as need to serve as place to spend the summer for its actual inhabitants, whom found in this place the special conditions to have a good rest. If you visit this place you can not leave if you do not taste the handmade cakes and cookies.
El Boyenar
Small town placed in front of El Ingenio, is a very quiet place.
San Gabriel
San Gabriel is a group of houses created because of the cattle activity and the mine’s works. In this place you can see on the hillside “ The mountain range Cypress”, a very limited coniferous of the country. An special attraction is “Los rodados de San Gabriel”, where in winter season you can enjoy from the snow with friends and the family.
Romeral
Small town sorrounded of mountains. Here is a deviation to G-455 road which leads us to “Embalse el Yeso”
El Yeso
Here we can find the dammed up waters called “El Yeso”, placed more than 2.000 metres high, it has 250.000.000 m3 capacity, and 55 metres deep. In its green emerald water, you can practice wind-surf and fishing, all soroounded by majestics mountains. More or less 18 kilometres inland we find the beautiful hot springs “Termas del Plomo”and the frontier pass “Piuquenes”.
Queltehues
On los Queltehues we will find one of three hydroelectric power stations of San José de Maipo.
Las Melosas
After cross through the rocks around of “El Cristo” bridge, is the group of houses called “Las Melosas”. Where you can enjoy of the mountains beauty, native flora and fauna, such as the magestic condors crossing the sky.
El Volcán
On G-25 road is El Volcán, an old miner town. Here we canfind old miner’s mechines, witnesses how the time pass thourgh. In this place you can do “Miner Turism”
El Morado
El Morado is an amezining Natural Monument administrated by CONAF. This place has got about 3.000 hectares. There are two glaciers, San Francisco and El Morado, which only access is walking. Also find here El Morado Lagoon, Aguas Panimavidas and El Morado hill.
Baños Morales
Baños Morales is a group of houses located more than 2.000 metres over the sea, in this place are hot springs rich on mineral healthy to your body. These hot springs are visited for thousand of people looking for some realif for their bones problems.
Baños Colina
Placed more than 3.500 over the sea, Baños Colina is last stop on our trip by Cajon del Maipo. On this hot spring is possible to enjoy of the natural sorrounder, almost untouch by the man.
