92 kilometers from Santiago and 1800 meters over the sea level, we find the town of Baños Morales. Banos Morales is a little town surrounded by mountains terracota color. Is located precisely in the confluence between the Morales and Volcán rivers. Here you would be able to visit the Thermal Centre of Baños Morales: two hot spring swimming pools rich in iodine, chlorine, sodium and potassium, with temperatures over the 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 0,7 / 1.7 meters deep, where submerge on it a few minutes can help to heal illness such as rheumatism, arthritis, lumbago and skin affections, as well as relaxing and unplug from tension of the big city.

To Baños morales you can access by going trough the San José de Maipo main route, this road is call Camino al Volcan (road to the volcano) (Route G-25). Once in San Gabriel, you have to continue 22 kms by the dirt road.

It is recommended to visit this beautiful place between the months of October to March. You are welcome to go visit it any time since is open all year around.  Just make sure to consult the forecasts and the meteorological conditions previously and take the precautions need it. 

Besides the hot springs pools, you can enjoy activities like hiking, horse back riding  (negotiate with the natives for the horse rent), mountain activities, and, why not?, just sight seeing at the natural landscape and take some good photos as a souvenir.

In this zone there are many choices to spend the night at: Hostels, cabins, shelters and lodgings..

The recommendations are the same for when you visit natural and wild zones with this characteristic: throw the trash away into a trash can, If there is not one close take it with you. If you make a fire or a barbecue please make sure the fire is off. Do not leave cigarettes buts on the ground. Respect this environment and the quietness of the rest of the visitors.
