

Baños colina is a recondite, majestic and quiet place, at the bottom of the cordillera de los Andes. Where a hot bath in thermal waters (hot springs) can be combine in harmony with a fresh drizzle of summer or at the moonlight. Banos Colina is located 104 kilometers from Santiago and 3.500 meters over the sea level. These naturals’ pools are situated to the open. They are built from the dump of calcium of thermal water. Temperatures can reach up to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. Here you can enjoy a therapeutic and relaxing bath of mineral waters and mud having the mountains surrounding you and watching the beautiful natural environment.

After you pass the police station named San Gabriel, the dirt road begins. There is 14 km before getting to the Thermal Centre. It is recommend to visit Banos Colinas in the months between October and March, even though is open the entire year. The climatic conditions, especially in winter time are extreme and it can present inconvenient on the road
The activities you can to carry out here are hiking, horse ridding and climbing the near by mountains such as the Cerro Puntiagudo (4100 mts). Here you have a place for camping and there is a restaurant.
The recommendations are the same for when you visit natural and wild zones with this characteristic: throw the trash away into a trash can, If there is not one close take it with you. If you make a fire or a barbecue please make sure the fire is off. Do not leave cigarettes buts on the ground. Respect this environment and the quietness of the rest of the visitors.
